Life drawing is good for you.

Just as athletes need to work out, and go to the gym, to keep their finely tuned body in shape. We as artist must constantly work out also, but we have to wory about our hand, mind (eye) coordination, I think that there is no beter work out than life drawing. These are a few drawings from yesterdays class. 5 to 10 minute poses, as you can see Im a bit out of shape (both mind and body) But bare with me wile I get back into shape.

Al igual que los Atletas, nosotros como artistas nesecitamos hacer ejercisio constantemente. Pero nosotros, nos tenemos que preocupar en mantener nuestra cordinacion de la mano y mente (ojo) Y no hay mejor ejercisio que el de dibujo humano. Aqui estan unos dibujos que hice en la classe de ayer. Poses de 5 y 10 minutos. Como pueden ver estoy fuera de forma, pero tengan paciencia mintras me recupero.


I take my sketchbook everywhere. I wanted to share this new one I just got. Its realy cool, the paper is 200 pound watercolo paper, (I hope to start painting more) As Monet said "There are no lines in nature, only areas of color, one against another".

My libro de bocetos ba a todos lugares con migo. Queria compartir este libro nuevo, el paperl es de aquarela de 200 libras (quiero pintar mas) Como dijo Monet "No hay lineas en la naturaleza, solo areas de color, una contra la otra".

Mi altar a los Simpson. Los jugetes de arriba son de los primeros que salieron en los 90's, planeo usar el dinero de esos para mandar a mis hijos a la universidad.

Hola, hello, hola

Hola, y perdon por no estar al tanto de este blog. Estos ultimos meses verdaderamente an estado muy pesados para mi, Ambos: Personal y emocionalmente. Pero espero y pase pronto. Por el momento me encuentro bien, les quiero compartir unas ilustraciones en las cuales estoy trabajando. No puedo explicar mucho del projecto por que todavia no se publica el libro y aqui en los United, son muy cuidadosos con eso. Pero pedi permiso para publicar unas imagenes en este blog. Esta semana acabo 25 ilustraciones para este projecto y estan quedando muy bien. Tambien pronto voy a poner unas paginas de mi cuaderno de bocetos, este cuaderno me agrada mucho, brinco mucho de estilo, pero en el e capturado muchos momentos especiales. Esta siendo evaluado por el comitte de becas en la escuela, pero nadamas me lo regresan y lo pongo sale :)

The drawing at the bottom is a study from a Rubens painting, and the drawing on top is a drawing of some kids playing in a water fountain in a park near my house.

This is one of the best drawings that I have ever done, Its a portrait of my grandmothers hand. Its amazing the way that a persons hands represents their life.
Este es uno de los mejores dibujos que e echo en mi vida. Es un retrato de la mano de mi abuela. Me parece increible como una mano representa el tipo de vida que una persona a tenido.
